Pesticide Recertification Training
Pesticide licenses may be obtained through the WV Department of Agriculture; the cost is $20 for the exam plus $10 for the license. The WV Department of Agriculture provides the Extension Office with a list of private applicators credit totals toward a license renewal.
Private applicators have 3 years to obtain 10 credits.
Private applicators typically receive their renewal form the first week of December.
At the end of 3 years, pesticide applicator licenses expire on December 31st.
If the pesticide applicator license expires, retesting must be completed.
You can check the total credits you have with the WV Department of Agriculture or by contacting the Extension Office at 304-758-2101.
The Farmers’ Dinner Meeting on Extended Seasons will qualify for recertification credits Cat 11-3, Cat 12-3 & Cat PA-3.
The pesticide recertification training held in December 2011 at the Tyler County WVU Extension Office was worth 5 credits.
