Teen Leader MeetingsAre you in 4-H & in high school? Then you won’t want to miss out on this opportunity! Teen Leaders become the best of the best in 4-H through leadership opportunities and development, service projects, field trips, and special camps (including a Teen Leader Weekend Camp at Jackson’s Mill March 23-25, 2012). State 4-H Poster ContestCategories: 4-H Promotion 4-H Health, Nutrition, and Food Safety 4-H Litter, Recycling and Environment 4-H Science, Engineering and Technology 4-H Dairy (Rules are slightly different—call the office for more information) 4-H Safety New Information! The NEW County Registration Form must accompany all posters! One poster in each subject category and age division may be submitted for state judging, except in 4-H Dairy, which allows three per age division. Posters that are the wrong size or have copyrighted characters or have the improper use of the 4-H name and/or emblem will not be judged.
Posters should be of standard poster board, 22” x 14”
All posters must be created by the 4-H members submitting them.
Posters may not contain copyright characters.
All uses of the 4-H Club Name or Emblem shall be consistent with the educational purposes, character-building objectives and dignity of the 4-H program and the 4-H Club Name or Emblem shall be given a position of prominence. It is not permissible to superimpose any letter, design or object on the 4-H Club Emblem, or to materially alter its intended shape.

State 4-H Photo ExhibitionShow the state of WV what 4-H means to you! Enter the State 4-H Photo Contest. Pictures should communicate what 4-H is all about – so take some pictures of your club events! Photos will be exhibited at the WV State Fair. Deadline for submission is February 10th. Call the office for the rest of the details!
Beef Expo Photo ContestAre you a budding photographer? Why not submit an entry into the WV Beef Expo’s photo contest. The five categories are: Beef Cattle, Farm Landscapes, People in Farm Related Activities, Other Animals Around the Farm (Not beef animals), and Black & White Photos of any of the above four categories. Entries must be postmarked by March 1, 2012. Call the Extension Office for complete rules!
Citizenship Washington FocusWVU offers a chaperoned, chartered bus for 4-Hers age 15-19 to go to Washington, D.C. every year for a non-stop, action packed adventure! The next trip is July 1-7, 2012. Each county can send 2 delegates (sometimes more spots are available). Please let Veronica or the office know if you are interested in the trip by February 1st, 2012. More information will be available closer to that time.
